A major role in biosecurity in the Pharmaceutical Industry will be played by the presence and eradication of biofilms. Biofilms can be defined simply and broadly as communities of microorganisms that are attached to a surface. Biofilms can comprise a single microbial species or multiple microbial species and can form on a range of biotic and abiotic surfaces. Although mixed-species biofilms predominate in most environments, single-species biofilms exist in a variety of infections and on the surface of medical implants. These singlespecies biofilms are the focus of most current research. Pseudomonas aeruginosa has emerged as the most studied single-species, biofilm-forming gram negative bacterium, although, as detailed in this review, among the gram-negative bacteria, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Escherichia coli, and Vibrio cholerae have also been studied in detail. The grampositive biofilm-forming bacteria that have been studied include Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus, and the enterococci. Our treatment program attacks and removes biofilms that have grown on walls, floors, plant equipments and any other area that would come in contact with the Product (Medicinal). Biofilms develop over time and provide protection to several microorganisms that reside under the biofilm. Our treatment regime will oxidize the biofilm and sanitize the surface under it where the microorganisms reside.

Store Areas

Areas where Expients such as sugars, lactose and starch are stored need to be kept well sanitized as this could be the first source of contamination. If the expients get contaminated then the final medicines would be contaminated. Need for terminal sanitation is required and the same should be carried out of the storage bins, floors & walls. We provide Purojal disinfectant for the storage bins, and Purojal can be used as a floor sanitizer for floor and wall cleaning. We recommend the use of Purojal INDL to be fogged into the air for the prevention of aerial contamination.
